Beauty Treatment

milia removal

Milia are small white bumps that appear on the skin and are usually grouped together on the cheeks, nose, and /or chin. Milia occur when Keratin (a strong protein typically found in skin tissue, hair, and nail cells) becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin.

Milia are commonly found on a skin type that is dry and can often accumulate around the eye area.

What results can I expect?

The Millia can be removed leaving a smoother surface area of the skin

When are results noticed?

Often we can remove the millia and it is gone sometimes can take up to a couple of weeks to see the full effects.

How does the treatment work?

A microlancer is used to create an opening for the millia to be released.

Pre and Post Care

Pre-treatment We recommend having millia removed as part of a facial so we can prepare the skin using steam and products to soften the surroinding skin. Post-treatment After removing the millia the area can appear red and have slight swelling. sometimes depending on the size of the millia redness can last a couple of days. if it is difficult to remove very often the millia after being disrupted with the micro lancer will work its way out over the coming week. You will be given a complete pre and post aftercare procedure at your consultation.
